Grafiche Gelmini is highly specialized in the large-scale production of labels, mainly for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The products provided stand out for their design and the high quality of the materials used, which are chosen and customized according to the client’s needs, with customer satisfaction always being the top priority.

We are able to produce labels in:

  • vellum paper: Composed of an uncoated paper layer, it provides a perfect balance between quality and price. It is primarily used for packaging, shipping, and product identification where aesthetics are secondary;
  • coated paper: Usually requested for archiving and packaging services, it combines a perfect image with high-speed printing. Made of high-quality white paper, it has a smooth outer coating designed specifically to maintain image integrity and perfection;
  • polypropylene: A material known for its scratch resistance, it is mainly used on chemical drums and industrial products. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, it ensures high print quality;
  • polyethylene: Mainly used for packaging and labeling shelves and products, it is also perfect for curved and irregular surfaces due to its incredible flexibility. Its main features are tear resistance and ecological recyclability;
  • polyester: Made for products such as components and printed circuit boards, automotive sector parts, and warning labels for hazardous substances, it is frequently used in industrial settings. It provides excellent resistance to temperature fluctuations, water, and various chemicals while maintaining high quality.

Large brands have used our labels in various sectors: among the most important historical clients are Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino; we currently collaborate with Monge and Bonduelle.

Pre-cut Handles

Grafiche Gelmini produces pre-cut handles in various types, according to the customer’s request. Adhesive handles, especially in cardboard, are the most commonly used.
Pre-cut handles are applied to bundles to facilitate transport, ensuring a secure grip thanks to their strength. They consist of an adhesive strip and a customizable central part.

The possible uses are numerous, especially in the food sector, from plastic bottle packaging to fruit crates.

Roll Handles

Roll handles, which are completely similar to pre-cut handles, are distinguished by being provided on rolls of paper.

Made from various materials, both paper and plastic, they are coupled with adhesive tape to facilitate their application using specialized machinery. Characterized by excellent resistance and adhesive strength, they are used by Grafiche Gelmini for large-scale production and economies of scale.

Paper Converting

Paper converting involves the design and creation of products, where materials and shapes are customized and shaped according to the client’s needs.

It develops in several stages, summarized here:

  1. design: identifying the shape, size, and characteristics of the product to be made;
  2. printing: the first process in the processing of supports;
  3. laminating: an industrial process that combines multiple supports, carried out using specific machines;
  4. separation and stripping: operations involved in preparing the supports for the next phases;
  5. die-cutting: cutting and shaping supports according to the desired model;
  6. assembly and gluing: the process of combining various supports into the final product;
  7. scoring: specialized scoring machines soften certain parts in preparation for final folding;
  8. windowing: creating strategic openings where transparent plastic shapes are applied to allow visibility of the product inside the container.

Grafiche Gelmini has a near-century-long corporate culture based on paper converting.
Over the years, specific papers have been developed for various applications, such as vacuum cleaner filter bags. To this day, paper converting remains a fundamental part of our daily operations, using the most innovative techniques, such as printing sheets made from grass.

Holograms

A holographic print is a representation of a hologram on a flat surface, producing 3D effects when viewed without special support (e.g., glasses).
The hologram is etched onto a layer of metal or reflective plastic, which covers the surface of the selected material, such as paper. The application is done through heat and pressure, permanently bonding the layers. The images produced are highly detailed but have a pixelated effect due to the technology that enables the 3D effect.

Grafiche Gelmini can also use holography on products already printed with xerography, giclée, or laser printing.

The primary reason a client may request the use of holograms is security. The image cannot be duplicated via risography, scanners, or photocopiers, and counterfeiting is extremely difficult and expensive. Common applications include treasury bonds, confidential documents, stocks, and certificates.
The utility of holograms extends to advertising and graphic fields, leveraging their significant visual impact. They produce image variability depending on lighting and the viewing angle, with colors shifting to different hues of the rainbow.

Posters

We are capable of producing posters of any shape and size, including the largest ones. We ensure high resolution for all formats, thanks to the “enhancement” of images, treated with specific graphic software to improve their quality and resolution.

Brochures

Brochures are booklets with multiple pages, ranging from a few units to a maximum of a hundred. They focus on a single subject, usually for advertising purposes.
